The 1985 debut of the goth-glam group Love and Rocket's Seventh Dream of Teenage Heaven is a sonically serpentine sound tactfully stitches an assortment of sounds and rhythms atop one another giving a rich, layered psychedelic musical experience.

Though the trio of Daniel Ash, David J and Kevin Haskins belong to the goth rock ethos that was Bauhaus the sound made by the trio does little to commit to the member's past history. Love and Rockets instead works and develops a much different sound that instead fuses more funk and electronica that would be continued in their albums to come.

Love and Rockets rather enact a sound that is mostly unique as a dub and punk influenced alternative rock act that neatly blended spacey, psychedelia in their decade together as a band, and Seventh Dream of Teenage Heaven is the first taste of this unique, disparate music to come.
