Aslyum Party - M'ere (1989)

Deep, growling and enticing - M'ere the final LP for French cold wave gem Asylum Party confines the listener in a well fitted straightjacket and entraps him into a maddened daze and sloshing bass grooves.

The band and their albums are the absolute pinnacle of the touching pop "scene", and throughout the swing and turbulence of their songs the band pronounces a simple and pure joy of life making the album a blissful, viatic trip into icily painted depths.

Also, I must add Asylum Party has to be one of the better, band names I've come across in exploring various pop, post-punk acts, and the name in every way adds to the legend of group whose works are sourly limited to two LP's.
And don't miss their thundering rendition of The Fab Four's 'Ticket to Ride'.

C'est Tout!
